Rendezvous With Nature
On Saturday the weather was so nice we just had to get out of the house. There is a little park here on base that everyone calls "The Duck Pond"... very original. There are actually a lot of ducks and some geese, and they love people, very friendly. We decided to take Isabella there so she could spend some time outdoors, feel the grass on her feet and all that. We all had a great time. Isabella even used the occassion to perfect sitting up on her own! She can now sit up for about 10 minutes at a time without assistance.

Easter 2009
This was our first year spending Easter as a family. Last year Isabella may or may not have been living in my belly on Easter. We got all dressed up in our new pretty clothes and went to church. After church we had a nice lunch and then played together and gave Isabella her Easter basket. It was very low key, but we had fun!

Uncle Rick
After thinking long and hard we decided to ask Jonathan's brother Rick to be Isabella's Godfather. We started thinking about this before she was born but never really decided. We need to get our wills together and we had to make a choice. Jonathan called Rick on Sunday (Jan 25, 09) and asked him if he would be Isabella's Godfather and he said yes. He was honored to be asked and we were very happy that he accepted. I guess it was meant to be, they do share a birthday after all! It's a good feeling knowing that if something where to happen to us she will be well taken care of.
